A mark of any good track in my book is how funky it is. Grooved out funky house is back in a big way this year and I couldn't be happier, especially when it is applied to the sorts of new genres that are so popular right now. Here are a few examples of new funk that work really well.
Two Door Cinema - I Can Talk (Moulinex Remix)
Moulinex takes this dance pop song to a proper level with a seriously funky bassline and his signature synthy sounds. Much better than the original.
Bounce Camp - Good Beat (Breakdown Remix)
NHNF friends Breakdown just sent me a few of their new remixes and I was especially pleased with this one. Its syncopated beat and funky guitar riffs are a refreshing change to the often over used synth sounds of right now.
Flashmen - Little Wildkat (The Phantom's Revenge Refunk)
We are really high on The Phantom's Revenge right now. They are bringin the harder more aggressive French house sound back in an all new light. This track flat out rocks. Look for more of their tracks to be posted on NHNF soon!
